Soft and Chewy Matcha Cookies: Matcha Cookies Recipe

Hi Matcha Lovers,
This Matcha cookies recipe is so easy to make, delicious to eat and pretty to look at with the matcha green aesthetic! Perfect for holidays, or an everyday treat. 🍵 🍪 👇

PREP TIME: 15 Minutes
COOK TIME: 15 Minutes
TOTAL TIME: 30 Minutes (+ chill time)
Ingredients:
1 stick of softened butter
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup + 2 tablespoons of flour
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of matcha powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt

Instructions:
Mix the butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl. You can use a hand blender or stand mixer to make it easier.
Gently add the eggs to the butter-sugar mix, one at a time.
In a separate bowl, sift all those dry ingredients together.
Add your dry ingredients little by little. The dough should have that green matcha hue.
Let the dough chill out in the fridge. The longer, the better!
Preheat oven to 325 F
Roll the dough into balls and place them on a non-stick pan.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Let them cool on a rack
Adjust the baking time by a couple minutes to your preferred "done-ness" if you'd like! Then garnish with powdered sugar, frosting & sprinkles, or whatever you'd like. And do you know what goes great with matcha cookies? A Matcha Latte! 😉 Cheers! The Matcha Mermaid 🍵 🌊
